ABC Shipping Services — Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 30, 2026

ABC Shipping Services ("ABC", "we", "us") ships packages for our customers from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Freeport, Grand Bahama, and handles customs clearance, billing and pickup. This policy explains what personal information we collect through our website, our customer portal at app.abcshippingservices.com, and our mobile app, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Your name, email address, phone and WhatsApp number, and mailing address.
  • For business accounts: the business name and any extra billing contacts and emails you add.
  • Your ABC account number (suite number).
  • Customs information needed to clear your goods, including your consent for the Bahamas Customs Form C44 and the importer name and address on it.
  • Shopping invoices and receipts you upload or send us, which show what you bought, from which store, and its value.
  • Messages you send us by email, WhatsApp or phone.

Information we create when handling your packages

  • Package records: tracking and package numbers, weight, size, handling notes (for example, fragile or food), status and location as your package moves.
  • Photos of your packages, taken when they arrive at our Fort Lauderdale warehouse.
  • Invoices we issue to you, payments you make (cash or bank transfer), receipts, and your account balance.

Information collected automatically

  • Login details needed to keep you signed in securely.
  • Basic technical information, such as your device type, browser and app version, and error logs, used to keep the portal and app working.
  • The portal and app save some information on your device so they load faster and keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers.

We do not collect card numbers through the portal or app, and we do not sell your personal information.

2. How we use your information

  • To receive, photograph, ship, clear through customs, and release your packages.
  • To calculate and issue invoices, including freight, brokerage, customs duty, fees and VAT, and to record your payments.
  • To show you your packages, invoices and payments in the portal and app.
  • To contact you about your shipments, invoices and account, by email, WhatsApp, phone or in person, using the method you prefer.
  • To keep your account secure, prevent fraud, and fix problems.
  • To meet our legal, customs, tax and record-keeping obligations.

3. Who we share it with

We share your information only when needed to provide our service:

  • Bahamas Customs and other government authorities, as required to clear your goods and to meet the law.
  • Shipping and transport partners (such as the ocean carrier and trucking company) — only the details needed to move your packages.
  • Service providers who run our systems for us, such as cloud hosting, database and file storage, and email delivery. They may only use your information to provide those services to ABC.
  • Anyone you authorize, such as a person you have told us may collect packages on your behalf.
  • Others when required by law or to protect the rights and safety of ABC, our customers or others.

We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

4. Where your information is stored

Our systems are run by service providers whose servers may be located in the United States or other countries. We take reasonable steps to make sure your information is protected wherever it is stored.

5. How we protect it

Your account is protected by a password. Our staff can see only the information they need for their role — for example, our warehouse staff do not have access to customers' phone numbers or email addresses. Access to records is logged. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private and let us know right away if you think your account has been misused.

6. How long we keep it

We keep your account and shipment records for as long as you are our customer, and afterwards for as long as customs, tax and accounting laws require. Records of payments and invoices must be kept even if you close your account.

7. Your choices and rights

  • See or correct your information: you can view your details in the portal or app, or ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
  • Contact preferences: tell us whether you prefer email, WhatsApp, or staff assistance. You can unsubscribe from announcement emails at any time using the link in the email; we will still send messages about your shipments and invoices.
  • Delete your account: you can ask us to delete your account by emailing customercare@abcshippingservices.com, messaging us on WhatsApp at 242-816-4ABC, or using the delete option in the app once available. We will delete or anonymize your personal information, except records we are required by law to keep (such as invoices, payments and customs records).
  • You don't have to use the portal or app: you can always ship with ABC with help from our staff.

8. Children

Our services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new "Last updated" date, and tell you about important changes.
